The Amherst High School PTO operates the Comet Corner Spirit Store which is located inside the high school. The Corner sells clothing, school supplies, books, balloons, beverages and food. The Store is a big part of how the PTO raises money to help purchase different types of items for the students.
Volunteers Needed
The Marion L. Steele PTO does not do any type of fundraisers as in selling items door to door. The way we earn money is by running The Comet Corner Spirit Store which is located inside of the school. Comet Corner needs parents, grandparents, aunts and/or uncles to volunteer to work to keep it open. The Corner is open daily Monday through Friday from approximately 7:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. with three different shifts to choose from. Please call 984-3749 or email steele_pto@amherstk12.org to sign up to volunteer. The Marion L. Steele PTO is putting money back into the community by purchasing from local merchants. The majority of the items have been purchased from Bobel’s Office Supplies, Coca-Cola, Downtown Direct, Impressions, Lake Screen Printing Inc., Mathew Zechman Company Inc., Nacscorp, Personal Stitch Sportswear and Monogram Shop, Polly’s Classic Touch Monogramming. 100% of the money that is raised in Comet Corner goes back to the High School, Students & Staff!
Evening Events
The Comet Corner Spirit Store will be open during some of the evening sporting events at Marion L. Steele High School during the winter months. Does your group have an upcoming event and would like to have Comet Corner open, please email steele_pto@amherstk12.org to make arrangements.
