K-6 Math Parent Nights
The district is hosting three Math Parent Nights to review the new K-6 enVisionMATH program. Parents can attend one of three nights to become familiar with the program and be introduced to the program resources that can be accessed online at home. (The content is the same for each Parent Night so parents only need to attend one of the three nights.)  We would like to have an accurate count of attendees, so please complete this RSVP to let us know you're coming!

Harris Math Parent Night - October 21 (6:30-7:30 p.m.)

Nord Math Parent Night - October 23 (6:30-7:30 p.m.)

Powers Math Parent Night - October 28 (6:30-7:30 p.m.)

E-mail Update
The Amherst Schools will be sending two or three updates a month via e-mail to parents beginning in mid-September. Updates will highlight student achievements, innovative classrooms, district operations, and plans. Videos may be included as well. If you are interested in receiving these updates, simply email our EMIS Secretary, Patti Killen, and include your name, names of your children, and your e-mail address. Thank you and Go Comets!!
Homework Lab

Homework Lab is a supervised setting that offers students an opportunity to complete their homework, while receiving assistance from a certified teacher. The lab meets each week, Monday through Thursday from 2:50-3:50.  In order to cover the expenses for this lab, there is a monthly fee that is determined by the number of actual lab days during each month - the fee breaks down to $3.00 per day. The month of November will have 12 lab days, thus the cost for the month will be $36.00. It starts on November 3rd. Payment and forms are due by Friday, October 31st.
